SQL Server DBA (Lynn,MA) 11-03
The Database Administrator position is a highly
analytical position providing: enterprise data design, database operations
enhancement and management as well as hands-on technical control over key data
resources. This position reports to the Manager of the eSolutions
Team. The incumbent will provide technical expertise and leadership
across all levels of the company to both technical and non-technical
constituents. The position will require hands on design, implementation,
deployment and ongoing management of various OLTP, OLAP and SharePoint database
solutions and emerging technologies across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and implementing
data-based solutions in support of business requirements and business
intelligence opportunities.
- Designing database infrastructure,
deployment, recovery, fault-tolerance and security requirements for
integration into the data infrastructure.
- Establishing operational and monitoring
standards for the company data infrastructure. Defining and executing
protocols for review and enhancement.
- Mentoring team members in evolving SQL
Server best practices.
- Conducting ongoing data infrastructure vulnerability
analysis. Assessing, mitigating and managing ongoing continuous data
infrastructure vulnerability enhancements at both the software and
configuration levels.
- Providing service on a daily and
24 hour-on-call basis as a consultant in solving data base and data
infrastructure related problems.
Qualifications:
- Strong, demonstrated database design
and deployment experience in both OLTP and OLAP environments.
Demonstrated experience in the design of Data Warehouse solutions and
Multi-dimensional data analysis cubes.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL
Server solution stack (RDBMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, TSQL).
- Experience with ETL design and transfer
methodologies.
- Experience with Visual Studio
development – particularly C#.Net and VB.Net.
- Strong sense of personal accountability
and responsibility for the security and reliability of managed areas of
responsibility.
- Willingness to engage and explore new
solutions and emerging technologies in support of new opportunities.
- Possess strong problem solving skills
and a solid understanding of how to quickly troubleshoot connectivity and
performance issues that involve data infrastructure.
- B.A./B.S. in CS/CIS/IS/MIS/Business
or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of Microsoft SQL
Server database management experience
- Current MSDBA Certification Preferred
- Extensive hands-on installation and
management of large, complex SQL Server database environments.
- Direct experience with SQL Server 2008
and beyond is expected.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS and
Financial Application Suite is a plus.
- Experience with BizTalk or other
enterprise middleware platform a plus.
