Client
is seeking an experienced QA automation engineer to join the Quality Assurance
team. The successful candidate will be a member of a global team working on
multiple applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work
with members of the QA team to determine the needs for test automation.
- Create,
execute, and maintain automated test scripts for use within projects and as
regression testing.
- Work
with software engineers and architects to implement enhancements for test
automation as necessary.
- Provide
peer guidance on implementing automation across applications without an
existing automated test suite.
- Partner
with the QA Manager to enhance test case management to support automated testing.
- Partner
with other automation engineers to create a unified approach to automation
across the team.
- Report
automation progress, test results, and ROI for project and regression efforts.

Qualifications:
- 5+
years test automation using HP's Quick Test Professional or equivalent.
- Familiarity
with test management tools, including test case management, defect tracking,
and requirements traceability.
- Proven
track-record of architecting and implementing test automation in a systems
environment.
- Strong
understanding of automation frameworks such as data driven, keyword, etc.
- Successful
communication skills, both written and oral.
- Deep
understanding of software development methodologies, including agile.
- Knowledge
of release management processes and how the QA process fits within it.
- Technical
QA experience with testing a variety of applications, including web, mainframe,
and client/server.
- Proven
record of driving toward results and delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Bachelor's
degree or equivalent experience in computer science or other technical
field. Advanced technical degree
desired, but not required.
- Ability
to travel occasionally.
- Self-starter
with high level of comfort working in an ambiguous environment.
